Indian Ambassador meets Indian Students at Czech University of Life Sciences

 H.E. Mrs. Narinder Chauhan, Ambassador of the Republic of India to the Czech Republic visited the Czech University of Life Sciences and met Prof. Petr Sklenicka, Rector and Prof. Michal Lošťák, Vice Rector along with Indian students at the Czech University of Life Sciences on 27 March, 2019.  

2. It is mentioned that during the State visit of H.E. Mr. Ram Nath Kovind, President of the Republic of India to the Czech Republic in September, 2018, both H.E. Mr. Miloš Zeman, President of the Czech Republic and President of India welcomed the higher education partnerships between the universities of the two countries and in pursuance of this, a Memorandum of Understanding between CCS Haryana Agricultural University Hisar, Haryana, India and Czech University of Life Sciences, Prague, Czech Republic was signed, for Cooperation in Agricultural Research and Education.

3. Under the said MoU, 20 students from the CCS Haryana Agricultural University Hisar are currently on a visit to Prague under students exchange programme with the Czech University of Life Sciences. Apart from this, there are 160 other Indian students who are undergoing degree courses in the said Czech University. Ambassador also interacted with the Indian students. 

4. Ambassador also invited the University as natural partner in commemorating the World Environment Day on 5 June, 2019 which would be marked by planting 150 trees in the Czech Republic in dedication to the 150th birth anniversary of Mahatma Gandhi.
