Indian delegation meets Deputy PM and Minister of Industry and Trade of the Czech Republic

            A high level delegation led by Dr A.R. Sihag Secretary, Department of Heavy Industry; Ambassador of India to the Czech Republic H.E. Mrs. Narinder Chauhan; EEPC Chairman Mr. Ravi Sehgal and senior Government of India officials held official discussions with Deputy Prime Minister and Trade and Industry Minister H.E. Mr. Karel Havlicek; Mr. Eduard Muricky, Deputy Minister; Mr Miloslav Stasek, State Secretary, Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Senior Government officials from the Government of the Czech Republic, on 8th October at the MSV International Engineering Fair, Brno.

2.         Both sides reviewed the current state of bilateral trade and economic relations and discussed areas of mutual interest including further collaboration in Heavy Engineering with a focus on R&D collaboration, Skill and Development exchanges, Smart Machines and exchange of latest developments in industry automation. Both sides agreed that enhanced exchanges in the past one year has led to growth in bilateral trade and contributed to the strengthening of bilateral relations. Both sides agreed towards continued engagement to realise untapped potential that exists between the two countries.

3.         Over 60 Indian engineering companies are participaiting in the Fair under the auspices of the Engineering and Export Promotion Council of India (EEPC) and Confederation of Indian Industry (CII).
