Advisory related to COVID-19, for Foreign Nationals including OCI card holders


  • All existing visas issued to nationals of any country except those issued to Diplomats, Officials, UN/International organizations, Employment, Project visas stand suspended till April 15, 2020. The suspended visas will be valid (in terms of their usual validity conditions) once the temporary suspension is over.


  • Visa free travel facility granted to OCI card holders shall be kept in abeyance till April 15, 2020. OCI card may be used for travel as usual after the temporary suspension is over.


  • Any foreign national including OCI card holders, who intends to travel to India for compelling reasons may contact Indian Embassy, Prague for fresh visa.


  • All incoming travelers to India who have visited China, Italy, Iran, Republic of Korea, France, Spain and Germany on or after February 15, 2020 shall be quarantined for a minimum period of 14 days. Those who have transited through airports of these countries (having no immigration stamp of the concerned transit countries) will not be subjected to mandatory quarantine.


  • Foreign nationals transiting through Indian airports from any country will not be subjected to mandatory quarantine in India.
