Know India Programme for Diaspora Youth

Know India Programme (KIP) of the Government of India is a three-week orientation programme for diaspora youth (between the age of 18-30 years) conducted with a view to promote awareness on different facets of life in India and the progress made by the country in various fields e.g. economic, industrial, education, science & technology, communication & information Technology, culture.
2.         KIP provides a unique forum for students & young professionals of Indian origin to visit India, share their views, expectations & experiences and to develop closer bonds with the contemporary India. This programme is open to youth of Indian origin (excluding non-resident Indians)in the age group of 18-30 years, as on the first day of the month in which the programme is expected to begin.Minimum qualification required for participating in KIP is graduation from a recognized University /Institute or enrolled for graduation.The applicants should be able to speak in English, should have studied English as a subject at the High School level or have English as the medium of instruction for undergraduate course. Duration of the programme is 25 days (excluding international travel) with 10 days in the partner State. The 25 day period includes the date of arrival and departure.

3.         The 49th and 50th editions of KIP are scheduled to commence from 20th November and 15thDecember, 2018 respectively as per the details below:

4.         All PIO youth between the age of 18-30 years are encouraged to register on the KIP portal for participation for its 49th and 50th edition. The last date for submission of registration on the KIP portal is 15thOctober, 2018.  Preference will be given to those youth of Indian origin who have not visited India before.
