Ambassador met H.E. Mr. Lubomir Metnar, Minister of Defence of the Czech Republic

H.E. Mrs. Narinder Chauhan, Ambassador of the Republic of India to the Czech Republic met H.E. Mr. Lubomir Metnar, Minister of Defence of the Czech Republic on 07 February, 2019 prior to his visit to India to participate in AERO India, in February 2019 in Bengaluru.  The Czech Defence Minister has been invited by Indian Defence Minister Mrs. Nirmala Sitharaman to visit India.

2.   During her talks, Ambassador reviewed bilateral defence cooperation and the preparation for the visit of Czech Defence Minister to attend the AERO India-2019, the biennial air show-cum-defence exhibition, organized by the Indian Ministry of Defence from 20-24 February, 2019 in Bengaluru.  Aero-India is the largest air show in Asia and has carved a niche for itself as a premier aerospace exhibition with 11 successful editions organized since 1996 at Bengaluru.  The Czech Defence Minister will be accompanied by 29-member delegation including President of Czech Defence Industry Association, Advanced Technology Group, DEFCON, ELDIS, PBS Group, NG Aviation, GE Aviation, Tatra Trucks, Czech  Trade, Czech Aviation Training Centre etc.

3.     H.E. Mr. Andrej Babiš, Prime Minister of the Czech Republic during his recent visit to India to attend the Vibrant Gujarat Global Summit 2019 in Gujarat from(17-19 January, 2019) had confirmed that Defence Minister of the Czech Republic will visit AERO India in Bengaluru in February 2019. PM Modi also invited Czech companies to take advantage of huge opportunities that the Indian market offered for manufacturing in India especially in defense, automotive and railway sectors.
