Ambassador meets H.E. Mr. Zdeněk Hřib, Mayor of Prague on 09 April, 2019

            H.E. Mrs. Narinder Chauhan, Ambassador of India to the Czech Republic met H.E. Mr. Zden?k H?ib, Mayor of Prague on 09 April,2019.

2.         Ambassador discussed the preparation for the forthcoming International Day of Yoga on 21 June, 2019 in iconic locations in Prague. Both sides appreciated the fact that Yoga is becoming very popular in the Czech Republic with over 1 lakh followers of Yoga and several Yoga schools and local Yoga instructors.
3.         Ambassador also invited attention to the 150th Birth Anniversary of Mahatma Gandhi being observed in India and world over. In this connection, Czech Post will issue a commemorative stamp in honour of Bapu@150 on 26 June, 2019 in Prague. The World Cycling Day (3 June) and World Environment Day (5 June) will also be dedicated to the Mahatma.
4.         Indian Ambassador also mentioned the presence of over 2500 persons of Indian origin in Prague who enjoy full freedom to celebrate their festivals.
