The 7th meeting of the India–Czechia Joint Defence Committee (JDC) was held today at the Ministry of Defence, Prague, marking another step forward in strengthening bilateral defence cooperation.
The meeting was co-chaired by Ms. Konderlova Radka, Director General of Industrial Cooperation at the Ministry of Defence of Czech Republic Ministerstvo obrany České republiky, and Mr. A.Anbarasu, Additional Secretary & DG (Acquisition), Ministry of Defence, India.
Ms. Radka highlighted the growing opportunities for defence industry cooperation between India and Czechia. Mr. Anbarasu emphasised India’s vision for deeper industry linkages and technology partnerships under Make in India and Aatmanirbhar Bharat.
In his remarks, Ambassador Raveesh Kumar underscored the significance of the JDC Meeting to chart out the future direction of both defence ties.
The two sides also exchanged views on defence industry collaboration, training and exchange programmes, and the regional security environment in various geographies. Both sides agreed to work towards a Plan of Action to sustain the ongoing momentum and build new areas of cooperation.
A Reception for the JDC delegation and a 20-member accompanying Indian defence industry delegation was hosted in the evening setting the tone for the upcoming Defence Industry B2B Seminar with Czech companies.
