Indian nationals may apply for PCC through online registration. Using Internet Explorer Browser is advisable for online registration.

Steps to be followed: Open https://embassy.passportindia.gov.in/ and select country by clicking Czech Republic flag from the main dashboard. Click ‘Register’ and select Embassy/ Consulate as ‘Czech Republic – Prague’. Complete the registration. Login again using ‘User Login’. Select ‘Police Clearance Certificate’ and proceed with the application.

After filling the requisite application form, a PDF file will be generated. Take a print out of the online application form. The application form duly filled in and signed is to be submitted, along with copies of passport and residence permit/visa, one photograph (5x5 cm, white background), at the Embassy on any working day (Monday to Friday) between 0930 and 1200 hrs. List of holidays may also be seen before coming to the Embassy.

In terms of the latest guidelines issued by Government of India, Police Clearance Certificate (PCC) will be issued to all categories of applicants only after receipt of police verification from the respective police station in India.

The above-cited police verification would be done for each and every case and may take a longer duration. Therefore, all the applicants for PCC are advised to apply at the Embassy, well ahead of time.
