Olomouc outreach

Ambassador Raveesh Kumar, accompanied by Dr. Prakash Shelat, undertook a two-day visit to Olomouc, a historic city known for its culture, innovation, and academic excellence.
The visit focused on strengthening partnerships across education, business, and culture, and included four key segments:
Meeting with the Mayor of Olomouc Miroslav Zbanek – discussions on enhancing business and cultural linkages, including India Day in 2026.
Interaction with the Rector of Palacký University Olomouc Michael Kohajda and visit to Czech Advanced Technology and Research Institute CATRIN, Department of Biophysics and other leading research institutions – drawing up a plan for cooperation between IN and CZ research institutes, mobility of students and industry-academia collaboration.
Setting up of an India Corner at Palacky University library by handing over books related to India
Visit to ABO valve, a Czech company with a production unit in India – exploring opportunities to scale up business and industrial collaboration.
The visit helped shape a forward-looking roadmap for IN and CZ cooperation in Olomouc and Moravian region.
