Strengthening Women-led Business Bridges: India–Czechia

A 37-member delegation from the FICCI FLO led by National President Ms. Poonam Sharma was on a visit to Czech Republic to explore business opportunities between India and Czech Republic.

During the visit, Ambassador Raveesh Kumar and Ranjana Raveesh hosted an interactive session followed by a reception for the delegation members, attended by prominent Indian women entrepreneurs and professionals and senior Embassy officials and their spouses. In his remarks, Ambassador underlined the potential role of businesswomen from both countries in scaling up IN – CZ economic engagement.

Ms. Sharma showcased FLO’s grassroots work in empowering women and offered the FLO network as a platform to link business.

In a separate event, Ambassador attended a Czech India Roundtable organised for FLO delegation by the Ministry of Industry and Trade of the Czech Republic and Hospodářská komora České republiky bringing together Czech institutions like CzechTrade and CzechInvest, and business leaders. Speakers were Advisor to Minister of Industry and Trade, Radek Jakubský, Vice President, Czech Chamber of Commerce and Ms Poonam Sharma. Discussions focused on enhancing trade, investment, and innovation partnerships with a special emphasis on the role of women entrepreneurs.

This visit reaffirmed the power of women-led initiatives in driving meaningful partnerships and people-to-people connections.
