Visa Extension / Waiver of Overstay Penalty due to West Asia Conflict

Owing to closure of air-space by some Gulf countries, following measures have been taken by the Indian Government for the affected foreigners stranded in India:

1. a. All types of Visas/e-Visas expiring/due for expiry would be extended for month on gratis basis,  by jurisdictional FRROs on case to case basis;
2. b. Penalty for any overstay after February 28, 2026 would be waived off;
3. c. Exit Permits would be provided on gratis basis;
4. d. Non-application of Exit Permit and Extension of Visas would not be treated as violation of migration legislation; and
5. e. Temporary Landing Permit (TLP) would be granted to a foreign nationals arriving in India due to diversion of flights on gratis basis.
