Launch of SU-SWAGATAM mobile app for foreigners intending to visit India

  1. A mobile app SU-SWAGATAM has been launched by the Government of India to facilitate Foreign Nationals intending to visit India. The app can be downloaded from the Google play store by Android users and from App store by IOS users.
  2. The Business, Medical and Medical Attendant Visas can be applied by foreign nationals by filling in the visa applications (e-visa/regular visa) through the app. However, in regular visa cases, the applications, along with supporting documents will be required to be submitted in the Embassy of India for issue of visa as per existing practices.
  3. The request for Extension of visa, Residential permit, Exit permit from concerned FRRO/FRO can also be made using the app.
  4. The useful information on utility services like details of tourist places, government agencies, religious places, lodging, food, shopping etc. are also available on the app to make the foreigner’s stay easy.
  5. Foreign nationals are free to use either of the options i.e the online portal or the mobile app SU-SWAGATAM for submission of visa applications and seeking e-FRRO services.
