Ambassador inaugurated Painting Exhibition on Bapu@150 in 
Elementary Art School in Revnice

            Embassy of India in collaboration with Elementary Art School in Revnice, organized a Painting Exhibition on Mahatma Gandhi on October 3, 2019, as part of the commemoration of the 150th Birth Anniversary of Mahatma Gandhi, the Father of Indian Nation.

2.         Ms Ivana Junkova, Director of the Art School organized the painting exhibition with the students of the school who enthusiastically particpated in the Exhibition. Mr. Tomáš Smrčka, Mayor of Revnice was the Guest of Honour and appreciated the Embassy of India and the Elementary Art School for this initiative which would help the students to know more about Mahatma Gandhi, the great personality, whose birthday is also celebrated as International Day of Non-Violence.

3.         H.E. Mrs. Narinder Chauhan, Ambassador of India, thanked Ms Ivana Junkova, Director of the Art School for collaborating with the Embassy in organizing the Exhibition. Ambassador thanked Mr. Tomáš Smrčka, the Mayor of Revnice for his presence and his words on Mahatma Gandhi, which Ambassador said, would go a long way in strengthening the Indo-Czech bilateral relations in all the spheres including in cultural field.

4.         Ambassador was overwhelmed seeing the impressive portraits of Mahatma Gandhi drawn by students in the age group 7 to 15. Ambassador visited the exhibition and also had dicussion with the students. Ambassador felicitated Ms Jolana Hartmannova, 15 year old painter and multi talented artist for the best Gandhi portrait painting.
