2. Subsequent IPEF sessions have reinforced its role as a dynamic platform for dialogue. The second interactive session (March 2025) featured Mr. Karel Havlíček, presently Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Industry & Trade, who emphasized the importance of closer India–Czechia ties with broad bipartisan support. Discussions highlighted the need to facilitate smoother mobility, including visa processes and business travel, to unlock new opportunities. The third session was held in June 2025, hosted by former Deputy Prime Minister and Interior Minister Mr. Vít Rakušan, focused on mobility and people-to-people connections.

3. IPEF marked its first anniversary on 2 September 2025, bringing together over 120 participants, including business leaders, professionals, and policymakers. The event featured Senate President Miloš Vystrčil as Chief Guest, who emphasized the strategic importance of India and the Indo-Pacific for Czechia and called for a long-term partnership. Senior officials, including Deputy Minister David Müller and Jan Michal, highlighted growing investment linkages and opportunities in advanced sectors such as clean energy, AI, and aerospace, as well as successful Indian investments in Czechia.

4. On 8 April 2026, Mission hosted the 5th Indian Professionals & Entrepreneurs Forum (IPEF) Interactive Session with Mr. Radek Vondráček, Chairman of the Foreign Affairs Committee in the Czech Parliament and former Speaker of the Chamber of Deputies. 

5. The objectives of the IPEF as outlined below are to:

• • Discuss important economic and commercial issues of the day;

  • Provide a stage for a direct dialogue with the relevant stakeholders like Ministries, Chambers of Commerce, City authorities and political figures, on issues of mutual interest;

  • Create a platform to enhance our understanding of Czechia policies related to business;

  • Work towards strengthening the economic engagement between India and Czechia, particularly in the areas of trade, investment, innovation and research; and

  • Offer business opportunities by circulating business enquiries/proposals received from India, Czechia and other countries.

6. The IPEF is not intended to be a registered Society but a loose body managed by the Embassy and to be chaired by the Ambassador. It is open to all Indian and Indian-origin professionals and entrepreneurs who believe in the objective of the Forum. While the Forum is open to those fulfilling the above criteria, there is a smaller group of 20 Executive Committee members from diverse backgrounds for brainstorming and decision-making.
